The mother of Baby P has said she is sorry for failing her son and for the pain and suffering she caused.
The 27-year-old wrote to a judge at the Old Bailey on the eve of being sentenced for causing or allowing the death of her 17-month-old child.
Baby Peter, who was on the at-risk register, suffered a broken back and 40 serious injuries.
