FSA to limit bank risk taking

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has proposed limits on lending, as part of a package of measures aimed at ensuring that banks do not take on too much risk.

The chairman of the FSA, Lord Turner, introduced the measures for what has been called 'the greatest crisis for at least a century'.
