ITV boss on missed TV goal

ITV boss Michael Grade has apologised for a technical problem which caused football fans to missed a crucial goal in a FA Cup derby.

Everton's winning strike against Liverpool in extra time happened as ITV1's coverage abruptly went to an advert break.

Mr Grade said the glitch, which has prompted 1,000 complaints, was "inexcusable" and that a full investigation was being carried out.
