Action urged over energy strikes

The government is coming under increasing pressure to intervene in the growing industrial unrest over imported labour affecting oil and energy plants.

Hundreds of UK workers have gone on "sympathy strikes" to support a walkout by energy workers at the Lindsey oil refinery in Lincolnshire over the use of foreign workers.

Contractors at the Sellafield nuclear plant in Cumbria are the latest to threaten to walk out in support. Joe Lynam reports.
