Ice and snow cause traffic chaos

Severe weather warnings have been issued in some parts of the UK as temperatures dipped as low as -11C (12.2F) overnight.

Temperatures plunged to -11 in some parts of Britain on Monday and are expected to fall well below freezing again on Tuesday night.

The icy weather has caused hazardous driving conditions for motorists and drivers have been urged to take care.
