Benn: 'The bombing must stop'

The veteran Labour politician Tony Benn has called for a Europe-wide boycott of Israeli goods in protest against Israel's attacks on the Gaza strip.

He was speaking to the BBC from Trafalgar Square in central London where up to 10,000 demonstrators had gathered to express their opposition to Israel's military operation.

Israel says the campaign, which is in its second week, is in response to rockets being fired from Gaza into Israeli towns.
