Pensioners don't ration the passion
Romantic pensioners
Forget the bus pass dear, let's have a quiet night in
Frisky pensioners spend more time making love than young people, according to a survey.

It found that nearly half of over-65s say their sex sessions take up more than two hours a week.

Only one-in-six of 16 to 25-year-olds and fewer than 26% of 25 to 64-year-olds could match the OAPs' marathon performance.

A regional breakdown shows the East Midlands to be the sexiest area of the country, with 11% across all age groups saying they spend more than 10 hours a week making love.

Cool in East Anglia

People in East Anglia seem to be the least keen on sex. One in 20 of them say their frolics take less than one hour a week.

The survey of 1,000 people also suggests that Britain is a nation of television junkies, with almost a quarter of people spending as much time glued to the box as they do at work.

Of those questioned, 21% say they spend more than 36 hours watching TV in an average week.

This is nearly as many as the 34% who say they work more than 36 hours a week.

The Scots appear to be the biggest shopaholics, with 12% spending more than 15 hours a week on shopping sprees.

Only 14% of those surveyed by NOP Solutions spend more than an hour a week surfing the internet.
