Royal family go to Easter service
The Queen
The Queen was accompanied by members of the Royal family
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have attended an Easter Sunday service at Windsor, along with other members of the royal family.

The Earl of Wessex and Princess Anne were among the congregation of more than 400 people in Saint George's Chapel in the castle grounds.

The Queen, in a long raspberry coat and maroon hat with a pink silk flower, waved to well-wishers before entering.

The Right Rev David Connor, the Dean of Windsor, led the traditional matins.

Appearance

The 15th century Gothic chapel is in the Lower Ward of Windsor castle, It is the final resting place of Henry VIII, Charles I and George VI.

The Queen Mother and Princess Margaret are also buried there.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cornwall has made her first public appearance since her hysterectomy operation as she joined her husband, the Prince of Wales, at Crathie Kirk on Royal Deeside in Scotland for an Easter Sunday sermon.

The couple are on holiday at nearby Birkhall where they took their honeymoon in April 2005.

The prince, wearing a kilt, drove his wife, who was wearing a green skirt suit and hat with fur trim, to the sermon.
