The Duchess of Cornwall has left hospital three days after undergoing a hysterectomy operation. The Prince of Wales collected his wife from London's King Edward VII hospital and returned home to Clarence House where she will continue her recovery.
A Clarence House spokeswoman said the duchess was "recovering well".
It is understood Camilla, 59, will need to rest for up to six weeks following the major procedure which involves the removal of the womb.
Camilla was admitted to the exclusive hospital in Beaumont Street on Sunday night.
Earlier, Clarence House described the operation as routine and said it was not cancer-related.
Her engagements have been postponed while she recuperates.
The Royal Family, including the Queen and the late Queen Mother, have used the King Edward VII hospital many times.
About one in five women in the UK has a hysterectomy operation before the age of 60.
