Valentine's Day love in a bubble
Valentine Balloons
The bubble is a joint venture to celebrate Valentine's Day.
Shoppers in an Oxford Street store can browse for love among the shelves this week as five men make themselves available in a "love bubble".

The five bachelors will spend a day each encased in a transparent plastic bubble on Selfridges ground floor. They are only allowed out for toilet breaks.

They are taking part in a joint promotion with dating service Match.com in the run up to Valentine's Day.

Each bachelor will choose an eligible woman for an all expenses paid date.

E-mails

Next to the Bubble are computer terminals which curious shoppers can use to send messages to the eligible bachelor inside.

At the end of the day each bachelor must sort through the messages to choose a compatible partner to accompany him on the date.

The first of the five to enter was 37-year-old investment banker Darren Thatcher on Friday.

He said he handled the attention well: "I thought I might feel very exposed, but no I don't, it's really good."
