Bursting Tango cans force recall
Cherry Tango can
Customers should not return Tango cans to shops
Fears that cans of Tango could burst have prompted the manufacturers to recall about 100,000 of the drinks.

Britvic said the move was a "precautionary measure" following a small number of customer complaints.

It said naturally-occurring yeast may cause a build-up of carbon dioxide in the cans, which may burst or distort.

Tango Cherry and Tango Fruit Fling in 330ml cans with best before dates of June and July 2006 are the fizzy drink flavours affected.

A Britvic spokesman said: "Once we identified that there was an issue with the cans we recalled them immediately."

Customers are asked not to return the cans to shops, but to call Britvic customer care on 0845 850 5222.
