Cumberland prepares for new tour
HMS Cumberland will spend four months away from Devonport
A Devonport-based warship is off to the Caribbean to help the islands cope with the hurricane season.

The crew of HMS Cumberland will provide humanitarian assistance and help with the clean up operation when the anticipated bad weather strikes.

Her crew of 250 operate the latest weapons systems and now have more modern media facilities as well.

The ship is equipped to send back television pictures of her crew in operation during her four month tour.

As well as disaster relief her crew will be involved in counter drugs operations.
