| Thursday, July 8, 1999 Published at 15:40 GMT 16:40 UK UK Man charged after motorcycle death ![]() Stanway Road, scene of the motorcycle accident A jobless man has appeared in Cardiff magistrates court charged with killing a schoolboy hit by a motorbike while playing soccer outside his home. Lee Brockway is accused of the manslaughter of Tyler Cope, 13, who died when a stolen motorbike mounted the pavement. Tyler was with friends at Stanway Road in Ely when he was was killed. Brockway, also of Ely, was remanded in custody for a week. He was charged with manslaughter, handling stolen property and four motoring offences including having no insurance. Brockway, wearing a T-shirt and jeans, had his right hand heavily bandaged during the five-minute hearing at Cardiff magistrates. He said nothing before being led away.
