More than 400 passengers and crew are back on dry and after being stranded aboard a paddle steamer that broke down. A tug towed it into Barry port, where it arrived soon after 0600 BST.
The Waverley pleasure boat ran into trouble in the Bristol Channel, off the south Wales coast, on Sunday night when it lost power.
The ship, which ran aground last year, was four miles off the Foreland Point Light, on the north Devon coast.
Coastguards said the boat, which was sailing from Ilfracombe, in Devon to Penarth, south Wales, suffered a problem with its port wheel.
