The three were remanded in custody

Zahid Hussain Sharif, Paveen Akthor Sharif and Tahari Shad Tabassum, all of Derby, were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 19 May.

The three were arrested following the bombing of a bar in Tel Aviv in Israel last month in which three people died.

Israeli officials believe the bombing at Mike's Place was carried out by two Britons, Asif Muhammad Hanif and Omar Khan Sharif.

Mr Sharif's wife Mrs Tabassum, 27, his brother Mr Sharif, 36, and his sister Ms Sharif, 35, are charged with failing to disclose information about a terrorist act.

Ms Sharif is also charged with a more serious charge of aiding and abetting her brother with committing an act of terrorism overseas.

More than 50 people were also injured in the Tel Aviv blast which happened on 29 April.

Mr Hanif, from Hounslow, west London, who was 21, died in the explosion.

Mr Sharif, 27, is still being sought by Israeli police, who say he fled the bar after the bomb he was carrying failed to go off.

Friday's proceedings at Bow Street Magistrates Court were delayed so the defendants could consult lawyers.

District Judge Timothy Workman said the case relied largely on e-mails.

All three spoke only to confirm where they lived.

Despite a large police presence, they smiled and waved at family members, friends and supporters.

Zahid Hussain Sharif and Ms Sharif were arrested at their homes, Mrs Tabassum in Nottingham.

Three other people arrested on 2 and 3 of May in Derbyshire and London have been released from police custody.
