Hard-hitting posters will be distributed to schools in Dudley to discourage youngsters from drinking too much alcohol. A young girl being sick down the toilet and a group of youngsters drinking on a park roundabout are just some of the images being used on the posters.
Pc Steve Rollason, based at Brierley Hill police station, designed the posters after a rise in the number of alcohol-related offences among youngsters.
Pc Rollason said he wanted to deter school children from binge drinking.
Discourage youngsters
"We wanted to take a new approach to this problem which is prevalent in the Dudley and Brierley Hill area," he said.
"We know teenagers will switch off if we tell them to stop drinking so the emphasis is on curbing binge drinking by showing them images that focus on the after effects of too much alcohol and its possible consequences.
"Anyone who has consumed too much will have found themselves in one of the situations portrayed and it is this less than happy experience we want them to remember and hopefully learn by."
The set of five posters will be sent to secondary schools, hospitals, health centres and youth clubs in the area.
