Detectives say Yassar Hussain Nazir, 16, had given a lift to two other youths who were due to take part in a police identity parade. But Mr Nazir, from Chatsworth Street in Keighley, was alone in his car at the time of the shooting at the Chellow Heights service station on Haworth Road.
He said: "We have problems with guns with drugs and with other crimes. "To stop this problem we need more police officers, and unfortunately we do not have enough. "Because of that communities are not feeling that they are safe." Flying glass A woman in her 60's was injured by flying glass during the incident at 1345 BST on Wednesday. Witnesses reported hearing two shots and seeing two cars leave the scene at high speed. Police discovered Mr Nazir inside a white Vauxhall Astra outside the petrol station. Detectives believe Mr Nazirs car was followed before he was shot twice in the head. It is thought the shots came from a Honda Accord. There is an appeal for anyone who saw the Vauxhall Astra prior to the incident to come forward. | See also: Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top UK stories now: Links to more UK stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||
