| Tuesday, 4 September, 2001, 10:13 GMT 11:13 UK Psychotherapist faces sex charges ![]() A psychotherapist accused of sexual offences spanning almost two decades has appeared before magistrates. Christopher Allison is charged with nine sexual offences, which are alleged to have happened between January 1982 and January 1999. Mr Allison, 59, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court. He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. Mr Allison is charged with three counts of rape in Canterbury and five counts of indecent assault in Canterbury and Basingstoke. Pre-trial hearing Mr Allison also faces charge of attempted rape, alleged to have happened in Basingstoke between 12 January 1994 and 23 January 1999. He was granted bail on condition that he remains at his address in Skippetts Lane West, Basingstoke. He was also told surrender his passport and not to approach any of the prosecution witnesses.
