Family appeal to solve double murder
Alexander Woodcraft and Andrew Walker
Half-brothers Alexander Woodcraft and Andrew Walker
The family of two half-brothers who were shot dead have appealed for information to help police solve the double murder.

The bodies of Andrew Walker, 26, and Alexander Woodcraft, 17, were found in different rooms of the first-floor flat in Reynolds Drive in Lincoln on 5 August.

Three days after the bodies were discovered police found the body of a man they wanted to question in connection with the investigation.

Police said that Jeremy Earls, from Cambridge, had died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

We are at a loss to understand why Andrew and Alexander were killed

Relatives statement

A gun found at the scene is being examined to establish whether it was the one used to murder Mr Walker and his brother.

The relatives of Mr Walker and Mr Woodcraft released a statement on Thursday.

The statement said: "We are at a loss to understand why Andrew and Alexander were killed and would appeal to anyone who has any information, no matter how small, that could help in this respect.

"The boys were very close and were great mates. They were very special to everyone who met them and we will never come to terms with losing them."

Detectives investigating the case have said a flat-swap is one link between Mr Earls and Mr Walker and Mr Woodcraft.

Earlier this year Mr Earls moved into Mr Walker's home on Wilson Close, Cambridge, while Mr Walker went to live on Reynold's Drive, Lincoln.

Detectives believe Mr Walker and Mr Woodcraft had been on a pub crawl just hours before they were murdered.

Lincolnshire police said they would like to hear from anyone who was at a party held near the murder scene on Saturday 4 August.

Forensic results on the gun and other items are not expected before the middle of next week.
