A pint of llama and lime please

The llamas are regulars down the McGarry's local

Customers at a pub are having to look twice at their fellow drinkers.

For two of the regulars are creatures that would be more at home in South America than Congleton, Cheshire.

Oscar and Joe may be llamas but that does not stop them enjoying a quiet drink down the Coach and Horses with their owners Len and Barbara McGarry.

Barbara said: "They're just like two dogs, we walk them down the road.

"We go to the pub with them, they walk on a lead better than any dog.

"They're such nice creatures, they're not the nasty spitting animals everyone thinks they are."

Len bought the llamas for his wife after their dog died.

Since then four llamas and four alpacas have been to the McGarry's collection, which also includes dogs and horses.

The llamas are no strangers to the couple's kitchen or the nearby pub where locals are now used to Oscar and Joe.

Len said: "I spend a lot of time with them.

"I find them very theraputic and they are wonderful characters."
