Ferret fashion for every occasion
Ferret
There has been huge interest in the designs for ferrets
A shop in the West Midlands is doing a roaring trade - in costumes for ferrets.

Jazzy jumpers and even Santa suits are winging their way round the globe from Ferret World in Kinver, south Staffordshire.

The company has designed and marketed an exclusive range of outfits just for ferrets.

Helen Bishop from Ferret World said: " People dress them up to look like themselves - we've got biker jackets, bow ties and top hat, even rain macs."

The business was set up in June 1999, but it was not until October that the company decided to launch its own range of clothing.

Helen Bishop said: "We'd had some interest from America.

"We did a show and it went mad - so we decided to launch our own range."

There has been such a big demand that the shop has set up its own website.

Simon Bishop said: "You can get absolutely anything on our website - union jack sleep sacks, hammocks, tubes, toys and food."

The business now has 700 customers on its books.

The shop travels to country fairs and pubs around the UK on Sundays.

The next show is at the Rockcliffe Centre in Carlisle on 7 July.
