Earlier this year Adrian bet �18,000 on the double and he stands to land �544,500 if the South Americans win the World Cup title again.

Adrian puts his luck down to intelligence gathered while buying flowers.

He said: "It's inside information if you like.

"Having had experience of buying flowers from all over the world, South America and Europe, I'm getting inside information from the suppliers. They tell me what's happening with their football sides.

"I know about a year in advance what is happening with their national sides of each country throughout the world."

If Brazil do come up smelling of roses, it will also be the second time for Adrian.

He collected �395,000 by backing them in the tournament in 1994.
