An 1875 Grenville Steam Carriage, the oldest ever entry in the historic rally, was among the cars which gathered at the start in Hyde Park.

The rally, first staged in 1896, is run at a sedate 20mph. Despite last minute repairs in a bid to get as many cars as possible started, 34 failed to cross the line.
