In pictures: Reader's drives

Following our feature about case modders, some readers have sent pictures of their mods. Here Dan Wilkinson uses black light and cooling tubes to good effect.

Stephen Philips also made good use of UV light to emphasise the tubes in his first water-cooling set up. He said the PC has changed a lot since this photo as modding is "very very addictive".

Swale Smith chose a cool blue and chrome look for his overclocked machine built around the Asus Rampage II X58 motherboard. It also has two graphics cards, tri-channel memory and a hefty power supply unit.

Although crammed with components and needing a huge fan John Cusick's modified PC only comes to life in the dark...

...when the lights built in to the case light it up and show off all the different elements.

Modder Marcus Dandy chose a red theme for the interior of his Ultranova case mod. The coils round the tubes help stop kinking but can help with its look.

Stuart Boardman sent pictures of the first water-cooled PC that he built. It has a dual loop system cooling both core processor and graphics cards.

Mr Boardman said it was good to see case modding getting some publicity. He said: "There really are some very artistic and skilled modders out there."
