MacWorld starts without Jobs

Forty thousand technology fans are gathering in San Francisco for Apple's annual MacWorld event.

Apple traditionally unveils its hottest gadgets at the event but this year has been overshadowed by the illness of the head of Apple, Steve Jobs.
