Pubs drive home drugs message
Pub landlords are using beer mats to help tackle the problem of drugs.

Around 28,000 beer mats have been printed with an anti-drugs message and are being distributed around Telford.

The new initiative was created by Dawley Pubwatch members, who raised concerns about the growing problem of drugs being used and dealt in their premises.

They have now joined forces with West Mercia Police to highlight the issue.

The brightly coloured beer mats are printed with the message that selling or using controlled drugs in the pub is not acceptable - and anyone caught doing so will be reported to the police.

They are already being used in a number of pubs throughout the town.
