There are less than three weeks to go until euro notes and coins become a daily reality across most of Europe. Starter packs have already started to be distributed to eurozone citizens.

The currency affects not only people who live in the eurozone, or passing through, but also many people in neighbouring countries, where the euro will often be accepted by major retailers.
