Have you had a house party horror?
A songwriter is risking the anger of holidaying parents after encouraging fans to host a series of house parties on August 18.

Alan and Elaine Bell's home was badly damaged after a house party on Easter Monday
Calvin Harris issued an invitation on his Myspace site for fans to host parties in his honour, with the incentive of a 1,500 prize and a live performance from him.

"The plan is to create a unique event with more simultaneous house parties happening across the country than ever before," a statement on the artist's website read.

Two incidents this year in which thousands of pounds of damage was done to parents' homes by marauding gatecrashers have caused anxiety about teenage house parties.

In one, about 200 youngsters damaged Alan and Elaine Bell's home after the party was advertised on MySpace.

Do you have a horror house party story to share? Are you a worried parent?
