Wildlife experts and enviromentalists are attending a seminar in Delhi on how to save the Indian vulture from extinction.

In the past four years many of them have been dying from mysterious ailments.

A recent survey, by the Bombay Natural History society, indicated that the vulture population has fallen by ninety percent since 1996.

Wildlife experts have so far failed to find a reason for this dramatic decline, and it's hoped the seminar will produce an action plan to save the birds.

Some experts fear that unless immediate action is taken, the problem could spread to neighbouring countries.
