Afghan police inspect the site of Tuesday's bomb attack, where a van full of explosives was detonated in the capital, Kabul, killing at least 19 people.
The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack, which targeted a NATO-led convoy. Foreign troops are said to be among the victims.
At least 50 civilians were injured, including women and children. Many of them were passengers of a bus that was close by at the time of the attack.
One man who witnessed the bombing described the scene as "totally chaotic".
After the site was cordoned off, victims were taken to hospital and dead bodies loaded into vehicles.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai has condemned the attack, describing it as "heartbreaking".
