Pakistan releases army footage

The Pakistani army has released its first pictures of fighting in the border region of South Waziristan.

The footage shows caves and weapons apparently abandoned by Taliban fighters and one side of a gunfight between the army and militants.

Journalists do not have access to the area, but both sides in the conflict have spoken of heavy casualties.
