A fierce gun battle has taken place outside the Pakistani army's headquarters, killing four gunmen and six soldiers.
The gunmen were killed after they tried to enter the heavily armed complex in Rawalpindi, near the country's capital, Islamabad.
The attacks come as the army prepares a major operation against the Taliban.
