Nato supply trucks are regularly attacked in Pakistan
Gunmen in north-west Pakistan have attacked vehicles being used to take supplies to Nato forces in Afghanistan, police say.
More than 20 armed men set fire to a fuel tanker and a transporter carrying four vehicles that had been parked overnight near the city of Peshawar.
All the vehicles were destroyed.
Correspondents say that militants frequently target supply trucks for US and Nato troops that travel through Pakistani territory.
A BBC correspondent in the area said such attacks used to be frequent, but that a new policy which discouraged parking in the city had meant there had not been an attack for some months.
Last month, lorries carrying fuel for Nato forces in Afghanistan were set on fire by gunmen in Pakistan's Balochistan province.
Many tanker attacks occur in the border town of Chaman, one of two major crossing points for the trucks.
Militants have also attacked Nato supply lines in the north-west of Pakistan, especially through the Khyber Pass.
