Pakistan army to stay in Swat

President Obama's special envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan, Richard Holbrooke says the administration has asked the US Congress for $200m to help those displaced by the military offensive against the Taliban in north-west Pakistan.

Meanwhile the Pakistani army has said it will stay in the region for another 12 months to rebuild and to ensure Taliban militants stay away.
