Surprise panda birth in Thailand

A panda in Thailand has surprised her keepers by giving birth to a cub.

Staff were unaware that 8-year-old Lin Hui was expecting, because she had shown no signs of being pregnant.

She gave birth just three months after being artificially inseminated with sperm from partner Chuang Chuang.

Both pandas had previously shown no interest in mating at their home in Chiang Mai.
