Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari has said that army operations against Taleban fighters will be extended further north into tribal areas bordering Afghanistan.
Aid agencies have warned that more violence would deepen the humanitarian crisis created by weeks of intense fighting in Swat and surrounding areas.
