Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, the child actor of Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire has been made homeless after the civic authorities demolished his home.
The family lived in a temporary makeshift shelter made up of plastic sheets over bamboo sticks, in a slum near Bandra East in Mumbai.
His mother, Samina Banu, said "They did not inform us. No notice was given to us. They suddenly came and ran the bulldozer on our houses and broke everything in the slum area."
