Indian PM Singh casts vote

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has cast his vote with his wife at a polling station in Dispur, Assam, in the second of five stages of a marathon general election.

Polls are open in 140 constituencies in 12 states, in a vote which pits the Congress-led coalition and opposition BJP-led bloc against smaller parties.
