Pakistan's former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, has warned that the current "turmoil" in the country is "not good for democracy".
Protests against a court decision to ban Mr Sharif and his brother from elected office have now gone on for three days.
In his first interview since the court ruling, Mr Sharif said Pakistan faced many problems which called for cooperation across the political divide but he accused the government of failing to cooperate.
