Police in India have raided a farmhouse on the outskirts of Delhi belonging to a leading pop singer, Daler Mehndi. Mr Mehndi has been accused, together with his brother, of involvement in trafficking illegal immigrants.
He has denied the charge.
On Monday a court in Delhi rejected an application for bail by Daler Mehndi in the event of his being held by police.
His brother Shamsher is already under arrest, and correspondents say this verdict clears the way for Daler to be taken into custody too.
