Pilgrims have been streaming towards the Amarnath shrine in the foothills of the Himalayas  Even in peace-time, it is a trecherous journey  The gunmen attacked while pilgrims were sleeping  Nine pilgrims were killed and dozens were injured in the attack  Senior officials came to visit the wounded in hospital  Despite heavy security, militants still appear able to launch attacks at will | |
