| Thursday, 17 January, 2002, 19:02 GMT Pakistan airline workers fight for jobs Indian employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) based in Delhi are starting contempt proceedings against PIA over the termination of their employment. On Tuesday the employees won a court order restraining the airline from sacking them, but they say the company has dismissed them anyway. An airline official, Arshad Raja, said the dismissals were a direct result of the suspension of all flights between the two countries imposed on 1 January. He said the jobs were no longer financially viable. More than 35 Indian employees worked for PIA in its Delhi and Bombay offices.
