India's caste row leaves six dead

Police in the eastern Indian state of Bihar say six members of a family have been killed in what appears to be a caste-related feud between two rival Hindu groups.

They say the incident took place in the district of Nalanda late on Wednesday when unidentified gunmen fired at the family as they were sleeping.

The state authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
