| Wednesday, 11 April, 2001, 22:09 GMT 23:09 UK Inquiry into Pakistan cricket allegations The former Pakistani cricket coach, Javed Miandad, has been summoned by a Pakistani court to clarify his allegations of match-fixing following Pakistan's recent poor performances in New Zealand. The summons was issued by Judge Malik Mohammed Qayyumm, who has already conducted an inquiry into match-fixing in Pakistani cricket. It follows remarks attributed to Mr Miandad reported by the Pakistani media, but which he has subsequently denied making. He told the BBC all he had done was to request an inquiry into his team's performance. Mr Miandad was sacked after Pakistan lost a one-day series against New Zealand by three matches to two.
