| Monday, 29 January, 2001, 09:37 GMT Indian cricketer challenges life-ban India's former cricket captain, Mohammed Azharuddin, has challenged in court the life-ban imposed on him by the Indian cricket authorities. His lawyer said a petition had been filed in the southern city of Hyderabad, where the cricketer lives. Azharuddin and three other players, Ajay Jadeja, Manoj Prabhakar and Ajay Sharma, are all facing bans following an inquiry conducted by the Board. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
