A court in Delhi has issued a summons to the Hinduja brothers to appear before it next month to face bribery charges over a major arms deal in the 1980s.
This summons to appear on 19 January is likely to be a severe embarrassment for the brothers, who rank amongst Britain's richest and most influential businessmen.

India bought a batch of field guns from Bofors in the mid-1980s.
The then prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, and other senior bureaucrats have also been implicated in the scandal.
Hindujas hit back
Indian investigators say their claims are based on confidential documents released to them by a Swiss court.
But the Hindujas strongly deny the claims and have already accused the Indian authorities of harassing them.
Lawyers acting for the brothers say investigators acted hastily in making their claims public and do not have evidence to support their allegations.
