Thousands of activists gathered in New York's Central Park to call on world leaders to "stop the clock" on climate change when they meet at the United Nation's General Assembly.
Campaigners formed a giant human sculpture in the shape of the earth trapped inside an hourglass that dissolved like sand to mark their message.
According to Barbara Stocking the point was to highlight climate change to push leaders to send a strong message during their meetings that there will be a comprehensive agreement reached at Copenhagen in December.
