Gravity satellite heads skyward

The European Space Agency has launched its gravity mapping satellite, Goce - after a day's delay.

It left Earth at 1421 GMT on a modified intercontinental ballistic missile from north-west Russia.

The BBC's Carolyn Quinn interviewed Dr Stephen Briggs, head of Earth observation science at the European Space Agency, at the very moment the satellite lifted off.
