Westminster City School Reporters interviewed Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton
Three School Reporters from Westminster City School in London were not just practising their reporting skills on Practice News Day but used them for real during a special visit to Television Centre.
With the BBC gearing up for Children in Need Day, Robert, Steven and Dylan had plenty to report on. Here's their report:
By Robert, Steven and Dylan Westminster City School, London
We went to BBC Television Centre reporting behind the scenes of one of the biggest charity events in the UK, Children in Need.
We were lucky enough to meet some of the stars who will be involved in Friday night's big live show.
Helen Skelton, Blue Peter presenter, talked to us about how she is taking part in the Children in Need show and performing with the crew of the West End stage show Dirty Dancing.
Steven made sure he had some questions prepared in advance
Her fellow star is Johnny, played by actor Johnny Wright. He has previously performed for the Queen!
And we also spoke to the choreographer Glen Wilkinson who is also directing the dancing part of the Lord of the Rings show as well.
After preparing some questions we went down to TC1 which is the biggest studio in Television Centre and where the live show will be broadcast from.
We had to mind out for wires and steps once we were in there as they are busy rehearsing!
It was so amazing seeing the actual stage where Terry Wogan and Pudsey the Bear will be entertaining millions on Friday.
As we walked into the studio the bright lights took us all by surprise!
TC1 was full of light displays ready for the show
We sat down in the seats, which will be filled with the live studio audience on Friday night, and watched the dancer and Helen do some stretching and warming-up for their rehearsal.
Then the music started. Two voices came out of nowhere from speakers above us and Helen and Johnny started to dance.
When the upbeat music started and Helen left the stage for the professionals to do their thing.
It was amazing to see all the preparations and now we really can't wait to see the live show!
