Two BBC School Reporters, who worked together at Sports Personality of the Year, have become friendly rivals after Fernando Torres's £50m transfer.

Omari and Sukhpeet, both aged 13, from St John Wall Catholic School in Birmingham, support the two teams involved in the deadline day deal.

"I'll feel sick when I see him playing for Chelsea," said Liverpool fan Omari.

Chelsea fan Sukhpeet said: "I am really happy we have signed him but don't think we should have paid that much."

However Sukhpeet does think that the signing will improve his side's prospects of success for the rest of the season.

"He's going to make a major improvement for Chelsea," he added.

Omari is not impressed by the signing of Andy Carroll to take Torres' number nine shirt at Anfield.

"I don't reckon he is a good replacement and think we paid way too much for him," he said.

By pure chance, Chelsea entertained Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, and Torres made his Blues debut against his former club.

But it was Omari who was smiling at full-time as Liverpool left Stamford Bridge with a 1-0 win after Torres had been substituted 66 minutes into the match.

Omari and Sukhpeet interviewed a host of top sports stars at December's BBC awards show, including David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Freddie Flintoff and Tony McCoy.
